No new free music this week, but I have some old free music and a track that you can pick up on Monday instead. Okay?

Hellcyon

Hellcyon have four free tracks on their website that I heartily recommend for anyone who likes their rock music. The tracks available are:
  • Do You Want It?
  • Let Me Know
  • Out
  • Walk On My Soul
Head to the downloads section on their website to get it.

Funeral For A Friend

Funeral For A Friend have got a new double A single out soon. You may have heard it. This'll be the first release from Join Us Records, a label they set up themselves, so to celebrate this fact Waterfront Dance Club is being given away for free on Monday. Head to the website now and you can sign up to get an email when it's ready for your consumption, or you can go there on Monday and probably get it straight away. --- Got suggestions for next week? Free Music - Mogwai album, Christchurch Festival tracks

Mogwai

First off, everyone's favourite Scottish post-rock band Mogwai are offering a free download of "The Sun Smells Too Loud", a track from their next album The Hawk Is Howling (due out on the 22nd of September).

Christchurch Festival

These next two bands I'm slightly more excited about because they'll be playing at Christchurch Festival (in Christchurch) tomorrow (Saturday), and they sound very good.

Hundred Days
This is the Yeovil-based band as opposed to The Hundred Days, who hail from San Francisco.

Hundred Days are of an unmistakable traditional rock genre—with sounds influenced by the likes of Velvet Revolver, early-90's Chili Peppers and Led Zeppelin—and yet have a very fresh and lively sound in a way similar to Hellcyon (with their previous vocalist).

There are six tracks available from their Myspace and they'll be starting their set at 1.55pm.

The OtherHalf
Next up is a bit of a more indy-themed outfit. Their sound is similar to a strange mash of The More Assured, Boston, possibly a bit of The Pigeon Detectives and something more rocky like Hellcyon (with their previous vocalist).

There are four tracks on their Myspace and their set is at 6.10pm.
